2001-2003 Honda, Acura owners urged to have vehicles inspected by authorized dealer

The California Office of Traffic Safety, California Highway Patrol, the California Department of Motor Vehicles and the Signal Hill Police Department are urging owners of 2001-2003 Hondas and Acuras to have their vehicles inspected by an authorized dealer.
Recall notices have been sent to thousands of vehicle owners urging replacement of potentially deadly Takata airbag inflators. Recall repairs are free of charge to all vehicle owners.
Honda and Acura owners should check for recalls by locating the vehicle identification number (VIN) found in the top left corner of the vehicle’s dashboard through the windshield. They may then enter the VIN into one of the following websites to check if their vehicle is affected by the recall:
• recalls.honda.com
• recalls.acura.com
• safercar.gov
