Steve Napolitano, senior deputy from Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe’s Torrance office, presented a scroll in honor of the club’s 60th anniversary to four immediate past presidents (Melina Morgan, Lois Ledger, Linda Toomajian and Dorothy Kistler) and Thompson.
Former Long Beach Mayor Eunice Sato led the Pledge of Allegiance. Councilman Keith Curry from Newport Beach and local candidates also attended.
