The Signal Hill Chamber of Commerce honored two local businesses during its most recent luncheon at the Holiday Inn in Long Beach: Asset Media Group, owned by Marcus and Melissa Guy; and the Signal Tribune newspaper, owned by Neena and Steve Strichart.
Asset Media Group (AMG) is a video production company and production studio. They moved their business to Signal Hill in 2012 and have served the community with free marketing training workshops as well as promoting and hosting a chamber mixer last summer. Recently, AMG added both a green screen and white cyclorama walls equipped with state-of-the-art lighting and sound, available for community video and photographic production.
The chamber selected the Signal Tribune for being a long-standing fixture in the community, as well as for spotlighting the city’s 90th anniversary celebration with a special issue. They also created advertising banners, sponsored by businesses in the community, to decorate the main streets of Signal Hill in conjunction with the citywide celebration. Additionally, the Signal continues to offer discounted advertising opportunities to the members of the chamber and regularly supports its lunches and events with donations.
