2ND & PCH offers full slate of free family-friendly events throughout December

Long Beach residents can dance under snowfall, shop from local artisan vendors, meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus and much more during the ongoing Christmas festivities at 2ND & PCH. 

The local shopping center will host the following free holiday events and performances now through Dec. 29:

Free Hula Classes & Holiday Around the World Celebration – Dec. 4 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Dec. 8 from noon to 6 p.m. These weekly Wednesday hula classes with 714 Market are open to the public and will lead up to a free community celebration with Sister Cities of Long Beach on Sunday, Dec. 8. The Holiday Around the World Celebration will feature a pop-up holiday market highlighting the holiday heritage of Mele Kalikimaka, Pasko and Kwanzaa with artisan goods, live music, performances, photo opportunities and cultural exhibitions.

Holiday Markets:      

  • Dreamers Market: Jingle and Mingle Pop-Up Saturday, December 14 from noon to 5 p.m. & Sunday, December 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 pm. This market will offer the chance to shop unique seasonal gifts from a variety of local vendors, plus enjoy kids entertainment and meet and greets with Santa. 
  • Unidos Market: Nochebuena (Christmas Eve) Edition Sunday, December 22 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. This event from Unidos Market will focus on Latinx holiday traditions, with crafts, cultural performances and photo opportunities. 

DJ Set and Live Performances on the Grand Staircase – Nov. 29 & Dec. 26-28 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Local artists and DJs will set a seasonal ambience by performing holiday hits at the shopping center’s grand staircase.

Coastal Snowfall – Saturdays & Mondays through Dec. 23 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Attendees will get to experience the feeling of standing under falling snow during select dates through Dec. 23.

Story Time with Mrs. Claus Tuesday, December 17 from 10 a.m. to noon. Young children are invited to hear a story time with Mrs. Claus and enjoy arts, crafts and singing time. 

Breakfast with Santa – Dec. 7 & 14  from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Dine at the Noble Rotisserie during Breakfast with Santa. Reservations are required and can be secured by emailing info@noblerotisserie.com. For details about the menu, visit here.

Paid Photos: Fridays through Sundays throughout the holiday season (hours vary)
Selfies with Santa: Mondays through Dec. 16 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Santa Paws: Friday, Dec. 13  from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Silent Santa: Sunday, Dec. 8 & Sunday, Dec. 15 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Take priceless pictures with Santa Claus, with your family, your pets or in a sensory-friendly environment. Kids are also invited to drop off letters to Santa at Santa’s Mailbox prior to or after taking their photos. Reservations are encouraged for Santa Photos but walk ups are welcome. Beachside Beats Holiday Vibes Live Music by the Grand Staircase – Dec. 5, 12 & 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Hear live holiday music from local musicians on the grand staircase at 2ND & PCH. 

Menorah Lighting with Shul by the Shore – Dec. 29 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Shul by the Shore will lead a community Menorah lighting.
