The First Congregational Church of Long Beach is opening its doors to everyone on Easter Sunday.

Easter Sunday activities at the historic First Congregational Church of Long Beach, 241 Cedar Ave., will begin with a breakfast at 9am, followed by a children’s Easter-egg hunt in the church courtyard.
The Easter service itself will begin at 10am and will include two anthems by the 50-member sanctuary choir as well as special music by the youth bell choir. Rev. Jerry Stinson and Rev. Libby Tigner will each offer meditations on how the biblical Easter stories might be understood in the context of liberal Christianity.
Following the service, there will be a bubble celebration for children and a brunch in Patterson Hall. Everyone is welcome at all of the day’s activities. The First Congregational Church is located at the corner of Third Street and Cedar in downtown Long Beach.
