SH gallery to host Memorial Day art-making workshop

This Memorial Day weekend, Greenly Art Space in Signal Hill is inviting the community to create something that is meaningful by participating in a Memorial Art Show.
Artist and owner of Greenly Art Space, Kimberly Hocking M.A., has created art to remember her brother, Marine Veteran John T. Berger, every year since his death on July 22, 2003. She invites the public to remember a loved one by making art on Saturday, May 28 from 10am to noon at Greenly Art Space, 2698 Junipero Ave. #113.
Those interested should bring photos or other items that remind them of the individual they wish to remember as a source of inspiration. Art supplies will be provided, and artists will be available to help. Local art therapist, Madoka Takada Urhausen M.A., will also be available to assist. Artwork will be exhibited in a Memorial Art Show at Greenly Art Space beginning Saturday, June 18.
This opportunity is limited to the first 20 participants. RSVP by calling (562) 533-4020 or emailing kimhocking@aol.com to reserve a spot.
A $15 donation is suggested to cover cost of materials.
