High schools to present final four Pippin performances

The visual and performing arts department at St. John Bosco and St. Joseph high schools will perform the final half of its seven scheduled performances of the musical Pippin, which ends Sunday Nov. 18.
Pippin tells the story of Pippin the Hunchback, son of Charlemagne, King of the Franks.
The musical, which was first seen on Broadway in 1972, ran for over five years there and has been reproduced all over the world. This is the first time it has been produced at St. John Bosco High School.
The visual and performing arts department has performed recent acclaimed productions of Tommy and Diary of Anne Frank at the St. John Bosco Theater on the St. John Bosco campus in Bellflower.
The last four performances of Pippin will take place Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17 at 3 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for the performances are $10 and $9 with a student ID. Pre-sale tickets are also available for purchase during normal office hours.
