The Long Beach Water Department is providing residents with another tool to report any water infractions that don’t align with Long Beach municipal codes. The Water Waster application, created by the Long Beach-based firm CityLife, Inc., was developed for iPhone and Android operating systems.
After downloading LB Water Waster, users will have the option to choose from eight violations, such as break or leak on water line, excess runoff/overwatering, and watering between 9am and 4pm.
To help address the issues, there are fields where Long Beach residents can insert the date and time of the violation, location of violation, and any additional information that may be useful. Users can also check for approved water schedules as authorized by the Long Beach Water Department.
Once an issue is reported through the application, it is then sent to the Long Beach Water Department via email to be addressed by the proper department. To download, users simply need to go to the iTunes Store or Android Market and type in “LB Water Waster.”
