Beekeeping 101: 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Learn the basics behind beekeeping in this hands-on beginner class at the Willow Springs Bee Sanctuary (the exact address will be provided after registration). Participants will explore honeybee biology, hive maintenance, essential tools and tips for supporting local pollinators. Protective gear will be provided. Day of the Dead Storytime: Noon. Young children are invited to celebrate Día de los Muertos at Brewitt Neighborhood Library (4036 E. Anaheim St.) with a special storytime featuring songs, stories and activities honoring this cultural tradition. Free.

Barnyard Afternoon: Noon to 4:30 p.m. Families are invited to Rancho Los Alamitos (6400 E. Bixby Hill Road) for a day of crafts, games and barnyard fun in celebration of Día de los Muertos. Bladder & Urinary Health for Bunnies: 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Bunny owners are invited to learn about urinary health at Sunshine Rabbit Center (4202 Atlantic Ave, Unit 201) in Long Beach. Dr. Jen Kumar, a veterinarian and owner of Baker Bristol and Costa Mesa Pet Hospitals, will discuss bladder sludge, a potentially fatal condition, and share tips for prevention and care. This talk is suitable for both new and experienced rabbit parents. A suggested donation of $10 per attendee will be collected at the door to help support rescue rabbits.
Bored Teachers Comedy Tour: 4 p.m. The comedy collective Bored Teachers brings “The Struggle Is Real!” tour to the Long Beach Terrace Theater (300 E.
