Long Beach seniors 50 and older can attend a wide range of free programs at six locations throughout the city, from cultural experiences and social services to fitness classes and learning opportunities.
The Older Adult Program offers volunteer opportunities, arts and cultural outings, dance, fitness, learning and enrichment opportunities, health and social services, special events and the chance to join interest groups. Programming is offered by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine.

The Older Adult Program is offered at the following locations:
- California Recreation Center at McBride Park (1550 Martin Luther King Jr Ave.), Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- El Dorado Park West (2800 N. Studebaker Road), Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Expo Arts Center (4321 Atlantic Ave.), Tuesdays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Houghton Park (6301 Myrtle Ave.), Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Long Beach Senior Center (1150 E. Fourth St.), Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Silverado Park (1545 W. 31st St.), Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Programs at the Expo Arts Center have been on hold since August for building renovations, including new LED lighting, rooftop solar panels and new carpeting, but are now set to continue.

Along with free lunch on most days, The Expo Arts Center location will now continue to offer monthly programming such as:
- Book club
- Social time
- Games and cards
- Freestyle art
- Coloring
- Soul Tai Chi
- Yoga
- Reflections class
- Birthday bingo
- Aerobics
- Line dancing
- Acrylic painting
- Arts and crafts class and various arts workshops
