As a part of the Hospital Happenings and Children Life Programs at Miller’s Children Hospital Long Beach, two programs that help make the hospital experience more positive for children, a special screening party was held for pediatrics patients. The Starlight Foundation and corporate partner Aaron Brothers brought the original Happy Feet film and stand-up characters from the film for the children to enjoy. In addition, patients received special framed pictures of themselves with Mumble, the penguin. Patients and families also created crafts themed around the film.
“It’s special for children to watch Happy Feet with their families and be able to take a break from hospitalization,” said Rita Goshert, child life manager at Miller Children’s Hospital.“We’re so appreciative of the Starlight Foundation and Aaron Brothers for bringing this Happy Feet party together.”
