Carl Fitzgerald Highshaw has been named the new administrative director of Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride, Inc. He comes on board just as the organization gets ready for its 25th anniversary.
Highshaw joins LBLGP, Inc. with experience in securing significant government and private financial resources. He has developed relationships with community stakeholders and partners to help ensure compliance with a broad range of publicly and privately funded contracts.
“Carl has lots of experience, coupled with his ability to build trusting working relationships with staff members and volunteers, he will fit right in (with) the hard-working Board of Long Beach Pride,” said Vanessa Romain, co-president and publicity committee chair.
“I am excited about coming to work closely with LBLGP, Inc.’s unique and dynamic board of directors,” said Highshaw. “I’m also honored to provide leadership to the small staff team that is charged with the tall order of assisting with the fulfillment of the organization’s important mission.”
