It’s that time of year again. Not just the hustle and bustle of buying presents and decorating houses, but going to the many holiday parties that are thrown during the month of December. The women’s clothing store L’ Exotique Appeal is dripping with fashionable options geared toward making any woman feel her best underneath the mistletoe.
The philosophy of the boutique, located at 3846 Atlantic Avenue, is that they specialize in fashion to enhance any lifestyle. From dresses to skirts, to gowns and suits, L’ Exotique has got something for everyone.
And according to owner Sonia Moncayo, its stylish inventory is something that customers will be hard-pressed to find elsewhere.
“It’s hard to find something unique, so we try to get something special for people who want to go out and feel good about themselves,” said Moncayo. “Our style goes from dressy to casual and a lot of our clothes are trendy but classic so it never goes out of style.”
Open for nearly two years, L’ Exotique has fashions for women from size 2 up to size 16 and, with its eclectic, intimate setting, customers have the chance to get one-on-one service from Moncayo and her employees.
“We try to help the person to find the right outfit for them,” said Moncayo. “And afterwards, most of our customers often come back because they received so many compliments on their clothes.”
And with an array of shoes, handbags and accessories, customers are able to get a whole new look from head to toe.
“We have all types of clothes and they don’t have to be for any occasion,” Moncayo added. “It’s for the woman who wants to feel glamorous and feminine. Someone who wants to be sexy.”
At L’ Exotique, customers are shown how a simple change of blouses can make all the difference. Moncayo stated that the store’s tops and dresses are some of her more popular items. And she is more than happy to help put together an outfit that customers just want to show off.
“When you want to go out and you want to look good, you come here,” she said. “No one buys clothes just to stay at home.”
