The exhibit features 16 artists and over 45 pieces of art created with the theme of “Angels, Demons, Saints and Gods” in mind. Of the works on display, over half were created by local Long Beach artists, with the other half being created by Los Angeles arts professionals such as Geoffrey Kieran and Ione Citrin, who both specialize in assemblage art.
Artists participating in the exhibit are Ione Citrin, David Rodriguez, Geoffrey Kieran, Trish Mahoney-Ivory, David McKeag, Douglas C. Orr, Rosemary Anderson Taggart, Robyn Alatorre, Doc Death, Ellen Cline, Kellie Walker, Diana Gaitha, Marcus Smith, Mitchel Illiff, Alejandra Vernon and Cheril Russell.
Also on display will be six large art panels, four feet by four feet large, that were created by Jones Studio artists live while the “Levitated Mass” rock, en route to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, was in Bixby Knolls last week.
The artist reception is free and open to the public. There will be a no-host donation bar, snacks and music. Supervised children are welcome with an adult. Parking will be available on the street or in the lot to the north of the building.
