Residents can share their priorities and concerns regarding Long Beach hosting events in the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games through a new online survey.
The city will host 11 Olympic events and seven Paralympic events in summer 2028 between July 14 and Aug. 27. In preparation for hosting, Long Beach has launched Elevate ‘28. The initiative includes plans for almost 200 improvements to infrastructure, public spaces and signage.
This survey is meant to ensure the community’s priorities, perspectives and aspirations shape the City’s planning.
“As we prepare to welcome the world in 2028, we are focused on building a 2028 Games experience shaped by our community,” said Mayor Rex Richardson in a public statement. “This survey is an important opportunity for people to share their input so that our planning reflects the values and needs of the people who call this city home. By elevating community voices, we can create a more inclusive, impactful legacy for Long Beach.”
The online survey is available at lbcity.info/lb28gamessurvey in English, Spanish, Khmer and Tagalog. It should take approximately 10 minutes to complete and is open now through Sept. 30. City staff will conduct survey outreach at a variety of City events taking place over the summer months, according to the City of Long Beach.
Responses will be shared with the Mayor and City Council and will help identify community priorities and concerns, inform City planning and engagement strategies. This feedback will also be shared with external partners.
