Long Beach Police Chief Jim McDonnell (pictured above), Signal Hill Police Department Captain Ron Mark and Officer Kelli Brown ran with members of the Long Beach Police Department in the Annual Special Olympics Torch Run on June 8. The torch arrived from Catalina Island via a Long Beach patrol boat on Friday afternoon, and the runners along with Special Olympic athletes carried the torch from Parkers Lighthouse on its last leg to California State University Long Beach, where the games were held last weekend.
