Last week, we launched the next part of our campaign to bring awareness to the horrific trade of child sex trafficking. We released a video that gives viewers a glimpse into the gritty, disturbing world of child sex trafficking [at] tinyurl.com/LAChildSexTrafficking. The awareness video includes interviews with a child sex trafficking survivor, an undercover sheriff and the two probation-department workers who have gone above and beyond their regular duties, spending countless hours of their personal time to shine a light on this travesty and advocate for rehabilitation and healing that is specific for victims of this crime.
The video has since gone viral, appearing on The Huffington Post and KTLA News. It has been viewed in over 87 countries and been shared over 1,000 times. Our efforts to expose this horrifying industry are becoming internationally known, and people in neighborhoods are beginning to understand this is a local issue, not just an issue “over there.”
I appreciate all you have done to help us spread our message. Keep sharing the video with your friends and families. It is an issue that can only be fixed with more public awareness.
