Foodies throughout Southern California will have the rare opportunity to sample high-class cuisine for a fraction of the price at 35 of Long Beach’s top restaurants in the Los Angeles county DineLA Restaurant Week promotion.
Restaurant Week is a 12-day dining publicity event to promote restaurants throughout LA County put on by LA Inc., DineLA.com and American Express.
The promotion is of major significance to Long Beach restaurants, as this is the first time the city will be listed as a separate “dining region” on the DineLA Web site and promoted as one of LA’s hot dining spots on the site’s home page.
Local restaurants participating include Bubba Gump’s Shrimp Company, Chelsea on The Queen Mary, DaVinci’s, L’Opera, The Sky Room and P.F. Chang’s, among others.
Restaurant Week dates are on Thursday, Jan. 31, Friday, Feb. 1 and from Sunday, Feb. 3 to Friday, Feb. 8.
Participating restaurants will offer a special three-course meal (appetizer, main course, dessert) at price levels ranging from $15 deluxe lunch to $34 premiere dinner. Prices exclude beverages, tax and gratuity.
Guests can participate in Restaurant Week by going to www.visitlongbeach.com and clicking on the Restaurant Week icon. Each of the 35 Long Beach restaurants has a link that lists their price range and their menu options. Choose your restaurant, call and make a reservation by mentioning the Restaurant Week promotion.
Long Beach restaurant participation was facilitated and financed by a coalition between the Long Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau, The Downtown Long Beach Associates and the Long Beach Economic Development Bureau.
