First Fridays art walk to get hectically eclectic

The “Hectic Eclectic” First Fridays art walk will be a mash-up of sights and sounds in Bixby Knolls on Aug. 3, with entertainment and activities that range from country music to electronica, brass bands to swing, classic cars to the Big Red Bus, and graffiti artists to baby clothes.
Flying in from Crema, Italy, just for First Fridays, Musincanto’s Musical Academy will perform two song and dance shows in the Back Room Theater of Expo Arts Center.
Nino’s Italian Restaurant will show off its Chef Gordon Ramsay remodel and its new menu. Also, Green LB will take over Nino’s parking lot with local artists, musicians, and a creative-reuse workshop to show people how to make upcycled/reusable bags out of old T-shirts.
Seventh District Councilmember James Johnson will announce the permanent name recommended for the largest park to be developed in Long Beach since 1952. The reveal will take place at 7pm at The Factory.
Bella Cosa, 3803Atlantic Ave., will have all the information about First Fridays, maps, business info, and restaurant recommendations from 6:30pm to 8pm.
When the businesses start to close, “First Fridays After Hours” begins with dining and entertainment at: Nino’s Italian Restaurant, 3853 Atlantic Ave.; The Factory, 4020 Atlantic Ave.; and E.J. Malloy’s, 4306 Atlantic Ave.
