Steere will discuss his first published book, Sea of Crises, a high-energy fictional thriller about three brothers seeking, in the present day, to unravel the truth about the mysterious disappearance of their father and the rest of the crew of a 1976 Apollo 18 moon mission after making the shocking discovery that the charred bodies in the capsule that returned to Earth in 1976 were not those of their father and his crew. Their search for the truth puts the brothers on the run from a shadowy, ruthless government force that will stop at nothing to preserve the secret of what really happened to the crew of Apollo 18.
The author will also give a preview of his soon-to-be published Defiant Heart, a coming-of-age adventure tale/love story about a couple in a small Midwestern town on the eve of World War II. Steere will also share his plans for another thriller and possibly a sequel to Sea of Crises.
The son of a career Air Force officer, Steere grew up on or near military installations across the country and overseas. He earned his law degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, before settling in Southern California, where, when he’s not writing, he practices law with a major Los Angeles firm.
