Vote no on new taxes— period! Vote no on Prop 38 and no on any other tax measures. Our governments have plenty of money in their coffers for funding pet projects such as a billions-of-dollars train to nowhere and outlandish pension/benefit packages. But, they use scare tactics to coerce us into believing that we must pay more taxes for our children to have an education. They even attempt to deceive the public by telling them that money from new taxes will be spent solely on the schools.
What they fail to tell naive citizens is that the money for education previously distributed from the general fund will just be funneled off to fuel their continuing irresponsible spending.
The only weapon that tax-paying citizens have against this out-of-control spending is to vote responsibly— and that is to vote against any new tax increases, period!
