Baja Sonora, home of the two-pound burrito, has announced the winner of its Name That Chili contest. Hal A. Peño (the n is pronounced like ny, as in annual), submitted by Greg Coolidge was chosen from among more than 400 possible names for the restaurant’s sunglass-wearing, sombreroed mascot. The first prizewinner won nine free dinners for two, in honor of the restaurant’s ninth anniversary. Baja Sonora has two Long Beach locations: 3502 Atlantic Avenue in Bixby Knolls, and 2940 Clark Avenue.
