The Sultans Car Club and the Long Beach K-9 Officers Association is presenting an exciting car show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Admission and parking are free. Meet the LBK-9 dogs in person and watch them in action during their annual demonstration, which includes the LBPD Fox Helicopter. There will be door prizes, vendors, drawings, food, music by Johnny Rocket & the V-Twins, and trophy presentations. LBK-9 t-shirts and other items will also be available.
All of the proceeds will go to support and purchase Long Beach police dogs.
The car show will be on the grass at the Long Beach Police Officers Association Park, located behind Lowes and WalMart at the Towne Center at Carson Street and Interstate 605. Turn off Carson Boulevard into the Town Center (any entrance). To access the location, drive toward the westside of Lowes, the Garden Center Side, then take Academy Way toward the backside of the building, you will see the signs as you approach the fence of the park. Follow signs instructing where to park.
Featured cars will be from 1973 and earlier. For entry information, call Vince at (562) 432-0901 during the day or at (562) 424-8726 evenings before 8 p.m. Registration the day of the show is $30. The show is limited to the first 300 registered cars.
