John Morris spoke to Long Beach residents and business owners last week about the importance of working together to make the neighborhood active and vibrant during the Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association’s Happy Hour at Elise’s Tea Room.
As the featured guest speaker, Morris suggested that having events in the district would draw more attention to local businesses. He stressed that businesses and residents should be walking in step together to work with the council offices to create a visioning plan.
A short Q&A followed that included discussion on the Port of Long Beach, challenges and strategies for downtown Long Beach and Morris’ tenure on Pine Avenue.
