On May 7, 2006, Tori Miller-Busch, beloved Long Beach native, lost her fight with ovarian cancer. Almost one year to the date, the Belmont Shore Business Association, where she served as executive director from 2003 to 2006, presented Pacific Shores Hematology-Oncology Foundation with a donation in her name.
On March 3, the BSBA hosted the third annual Belmont Shore Chocolate Festival in honor of Miller-Busch who had first coordinated the event in 2003.
The association announced that $5 from every $15 ticket book would be donated to the Tori Miller-Busch Ovarian Cancer Fund. It was a wonderful event that would have made Miller-Busch proud and the BSBA is pleased to have raised $5,000 for the fund she had set up prior to her passing.
The presentation took place on the balcony of Davis Group’s office located on the corner of Bayshore Avenue and Second Street May 4.
