On Saturday, June 9, the Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) and the Greater Long Beach Chapter of the American Red Cross will host the 12th Annual CPR Saturday.
In addition to teaching crucial life-saving skills, the event includes a Health and Preparedness Expo with free blood pressure screenings, health products, demonstrations, and LBFD Fire Engines and Red Cross emergency vehicles on display.
CPR Saturday will take place at Long Beach City College, 4901 East Carson Street in Long Beach, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
CPR courses run throughout the day and may last up to four hours. Select classes will also be taught in Spanish. Participants must be at least 12 to enroll.
Pre-registration is required and open until Saturday, June 1. Class fees for adults are $7, or $13 with a child or infant. The pet first aid class is $7 and the SAFE Kids Training course is $7.
