Reminiscing revealed

In the May 29 issue of the Signal Tribune, we asked readers if they knew any information regarding the picture above. Long Beach resident Deanna (Nickell) Roe wrote in, saying:
The man and woman in the front row (see arrows) are my aunt and uncle, Hazel and Joe Coach.
Joe Coach owned the Coach Oil Tool Company in Signal Hill from approximately 1936 to the early 1950s. The company was located at 2705 Dawson Avenue.
I remember the La Fiesta Days because it seemed like an early Halloween because my sister and I got to wear costumes. My mother would make me and my sister long black skirts and red blouses to wear during the event.
Unfortunately, I don’t know why my aunt and uncle are on stage, but it appears my uncle is receiving some kind of award.
