The First Fridays Art Walk on Sept. 5 will celebrate folk music and culture as the event features musical guests Ponderosa Aces, Bearcoon, Carol Martin, Black Lab and the Banjo, Lipstick Lumberjack, Honey Whiskey Trio, Jester McCool and When Pigs Fly.
Edward Jones financial advisor, 3916 Atlantic Ave., will host a pie-eating contest at 7:30pm, with pies donated by Rossmoor Pastries. The winner will receive two free tickets to the Folk Revival Festival on Sept. 27.
“Beirdos” can stop in at Esquire Barber Shop for a trim and enter their beard or mustache into the running to be a contestant at the Folk Revival Festival.
The First Fridays Art Walk will take place at businesses along Atlantic Avenue in Bixby Knolls.
The Big Red Bus will be available to transport attendees from venue to venue via designated stops at the participating businesses.
Bella Cosa, 3803 Atlantic Ave., will have information about First Fridays, maps, business info and restaurant recommendations from 6:30pm to 8pm.
