Farm dinner to benefit local urban farm

Primal Alchemy catering company will present the 5th annual Long Beach Farm Dinner on Sunday, Oct. 26 as a benefit for the Growing Experience Urban Farm.
The “under the stars” event is a celebration showcasing the seasonal bounty of the autumn harvest at the Growing Experience, an urban farm located at 750 Via Carmelitos, and the multi-course dinner will take place at the farm itself.

Featured chefs include: Paul Buchanan, Primal Alchemy Catering, Events and Community Kitchen; Patrick Glennon, Santa Monica Seafood; David Scullion Coleman, Michael’s on Naples Ristorante; Dave Mac Lennan, James Republic; Katherine Humphus, Bo Beau; Rich Mead, Sage In Limbo; Craig Canole, K’ya Rooftop; Dean Kim, O.C. Baking Company; and pastry chef David Baker.

Tickets for the event are $95 for individuals or $90 for a table of eight or more. Attendees are encouraged to wear casual attire and flat shoes and to bring a jacket.
The event will take place from 4pm to 8pm.

The Growing Experience grows vegetables and fruits year-round using sustainable methods, with no chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, according to a press release from Long Beach Fresh, a comprehensive “accelerator program” dedicated to expanding Long Beach’s local food economy and infrastructure.
