Demolition of the previous structure on the site, located near the corner of Redondo and Temple avenues, recently commenced, and the property is expected to be ready for the start of new construction in the next few
weeks, according to the company.
Hooman Nissani, co-owner and president of Hooman Nissani, said demolition of the existing building was necessary because of its size.
“We had outgrown it even before we moved in,” he said, adding that the business will grow from 180 to 270 employees and that the new dealership will be a 76,000-square-foot facility with a 28,000-square-foot showroom, 67 service bays and a car wash for its vehicles. The dealership will also start off with about 120 loaner cars, according to Nissani, who said he expects that the new dealership will open in May or June next year.
The new facility has also been designed to be a “green” building that features solar power, low-power-consumption lighting, advanced heating and cooling, and built-in waste-water purification and recycling, according to the company.
