The Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) this week released an alert warning about several incidents that have taken place involving a male subject exposing himself to children walking to school, and the department is asking for the public’s help in identifying him and locating his vehicle.
From Feb. 11 to March 4, there have been six of these reported incidents that have occurred between the hours of 7:45am and 9am, according to police. The incidents occurred within the boundaries of Coronado Avenue to Euclid Avenue, and from 7th to 10th streets.
The suspect has often been seen sitting in the passenger side of his parked vehicle with his pants down, exposing himself, and sometimes masturbating as female minors walked by. On many occasions, he has called out to the minors, attempting to get them to walk closer, police said.
In one incident, the suspect was parked near Euclid Avenue and 7th Street from approximately 8:45am to 8:55am, during which time he called out to two minors. As they walked by, the suspect opened his door and tried to grab one of them, but she was able to run away, according to the LBPD.
The suspect has been described as a white man, between 24 and 35 years old, with brown hair, wearing a black shirt and black Dickies-brand-style pants.
