The 26th annual America’s Family Pet Expo will return Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 12 to the OC Fair & Event Center, 88 Fair Dr., in Costa Mesa. The expo is created, produced and managed by World Pet Association, Inc., a 62-year-old nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting responsible pet care.
All weekend long, guests will have the opportunity to meet, see and interact with a display of creatures great and small. From felines,ÂÂ rare birds, exotic reptiles, colorful fish, miniature horses to pups, the event will include a variety of animal stage shows, features and attractions. New pet products from industry leaders will also be offered at special show pricing.
The expo will also include:
• a human hamster wheel water attraction
• Purina Pro-Plan Performance Team high-energy dog agility show
• Cook’s Racing Hogs & Dogs
• Splash Dogs— dock-jumping dogs that make a splash as they compete for longest jump
• Police dog demonstrations
• Bird show
• Kids aquarium contest
• Pony rides, face painting and “The Great American Petting Zoo”
• Eurobungy trampoline
• Animal adoptions
General admission is $13, senior admission for those 60 and over is $11, and children 6 to 12 are admitted for $8. Kids 5 years and under are admitted free. Active and retired military are also admitted free with ID.
Show hours are: Friday from 10am to 6pm; Saturday from 10am to 7pm; and Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
Parking is $7. Pets are not allowed.
