“The Bridge,” oil, mixed media and collage on canvas by Vivian Chen
The Cultural Alliance of Long Beach (CALB) will host a closing celebration for My Life, the 35-year retrospective of the paintings of Vivian Wenhuey Chen. The event will take place at the CALB gallery, 729 N. Pine Ave., from 3pm to 5pm on Sunday.

Chen has exhibited throughout the world, at Florence Biennale in Florence, Italy; Société des Artistes Indépendants in Paris, France; The Armory Show in New York; as well as shows in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Boston and Las Vegas. Locally, she has exhibited in Long Beach, Torrance, Palos Verdes and Redondo Beach.
In My Life, Chen has collaborated with sculptor David Hennage.
