The Long Beach Chorale is auditioning singers for its new season this month.
The Long Beach Chorale, a local musical organization, is encouraging singers to audition for its 2015-16 season during the month of August on an appointment basis.
Rehearsals will take place Monday nights in the Belmont Shore area of Long Beach.
The Long Beach Chorale is welcoming singers in all voice parts; it is requiring those who audition to have the ability to read music, and the musical organization describes the auditions as brief, informal and non-threatening.
Led by artistic director Eliza Rubenstein and pianist/assistant director Beth Syverson, the chorale is composed of more than 50 amateurs of all ages and backgrounds.
The 2015-16 season will include music by Bach and a performance of Kirke Mechem’s “Songs of the Slave,” among other events.
Those who wish to audition can contact the chorus by calling (562) 427-1931 or emailing lbchorale@gmail.com for more information.
