Organization collecting shoes in LB area for children in need

His Little Feet, Inc. (HLF), a nonprofit organization devoted to eliminating poverty by providing all children with properly fitting shoes, is hosting a back-to-school shoe drive through Aug. 21 in the Long Beach area.
The organization is collecting shoes in sizes ranging from 10T to adult 10 and will be distributing them to students at Jane Addams Elementary School in north Long Beach. HLF is also collecting school uniforms and children’s books for distribution.
“We’re stomping out poverty in our community one pair of shoes at a time,” said Hali Wolf, HLF founder. “I’ve seen children in the economically-impacted areas of Long Beach attending school with shoes that were very badly worn, held together with tape or rubber bands or didn’t fit properly because they were too small. I have received dozens of letters expressing the students’ hardships and their heartfelt gratitude to us for providing shoes in their time of need.”
HLF is partnering up with the following organizations that are providing drop-off locations:
Bella Salon of Naples, 5852 E Naples Plaza
Dean Anthony Salon, 5287 E 2nd St. Salon Drew, 11110 Los Alamitos Blvd #105
Parkcrest Christian Church, 3936 Woodruff Ave.
Bar Method, 6695 E Pacific Coast Hwy #125
Baja Sonora, 2940 Clark Ave.
