The Signal Hill Police Department (SHPD) and the California Army Reserve-National Guard will partner for a joint training exercise on Saturday, Sept. 12 between 10am and noon, according to SHPD.
The training exercise is part of the department’s ongoing emergency preparedness efforts, according to police.
During the exercise, citizens might observe Army Humvees and/or SHPD patrol vehicles parked at various locations throughout the Signal Hill. The National Guard and SHPD personnel will be participating in a mock scenario to test interoperability communications between the two agencies in the event of an emergency.
