Food, beverage industry leaders to be honored

The California Conference for Equality and Justice (CCEJ), formerly known as The National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ), is celebrating its 34th Annual Food and Beverage Humanitarian Awards Dinner on Thursday, October 23, at The Hyatt Regency in Long Beach. There will be a reception at 6 p.m. with dinner to follow at 7 p.m. in the ballroom.
This year’s honorees include: Vic Chiono, Area Vice President Minute Maid Business Unit for Coca-Cola North America; Dave Grosse, General Manager Grocery Division/Partner for The Performance Group; and Phil Smith, Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing/Procurement Officer for Unified Grocers. The dinner chair is Kevin Davis, President, Chairman & CEO of Bristol Farms.
“We are so pleased to be able to honor such prestigious leaders in the food and beverage industry,” states Margaux Kohut, President of CCEJ. “Our honorees are recognized for their commitment to CCEJ’s vision to make our nation a better place for everyone, and for their outstanding efforts to build a greater understanding of and respect for different cultures and working to help others appreciate the myriad of gifts that diversity brings to the community.”
The California Conference for Equality and Justice is a nonprofit human relations organization providing programs to build more inclusive and just communities.
