The Long Beach Police Department’s (LBPD) traffic section conducted a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 7pm to 3am at an undisclosed location. The operation resulted in four arrests, according to the LBPD.
During the checkpoint, 49 vehicle enforcement stops were conducted, 13 field sobriety tests were conducted, four DUI-alchohol suspects were arrested, one driver was arrested for an outstanding warrant and 11 citations were issued.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The LBPD will conduct another DUI/driver’s license checkpoint on Saturday, Dec. 19, according to police.
