Sisters Akira and Solea Smith enjoy some “snow” at the Los Cerritos Neighborhood Association’s 5th annual Christmas caroling event on Sunday, Dec. 13 in the Los Cerritos neighborhood. Carolers met up around 4pm that day and brought potluck items to share as well as toys to donate to needy families. Participants drank hot chocolate and cider during the two-hour walking event. The group stopped at four locations, including a convalescent center and three homes. Each home hosted a “curbside party,” where the owners gathered friends and neighbors to listen to carolers and enjoy refreshments. One resident, Tracy Fiedler, provided a snow machine for the gathering at her home.
