At approximately 1:25am on Jan. 9, the Long Beach and Signal Hill police departments were dispatched to 1174 E. Wardlow Rd., a location on the city borders for an undisclosed reason. Officers arrived on scene and located two victims with gunshot wounds.
According to the Signal Hill Police Department, during an altercation, a suspect produced a gun and shot two people. Both victims were transported to a hospital and are expected to recover. The crime was determined to have occurred inside the Signal Hill city limits.
The Signal Hill Police Department Detective Bureau is actively working leads in the case, police said.
