A portion of the Blue Line will be closed for service this weekend as Metro continues an improvement project on completing electrical systems maintenance between Vernon and Washington stations.
Train service will discontinue from 9pm on Friday, Jan. 22 through 4:30am on Monday, Jan. 24.
Bus shuttles will run between Blue Line/Vernon Avenue to Expo/23rd Street Station, including express service between those two stops. Patrons must transfer to Expo/23rd/LATTC/Ortho Station to continue their trip into downtown Los Angeles. Trains will continue to run from Vernon Station south to Long Beach.
Blue Line train service will not operate at Washington/San Pedro and Grand stations. Instead, bus shuttles will stop and service Washington/San Pedro and Grand stations with express trips between the two stops.
A free bus shuttle will be available to patrons between Vernon and Expo/23rd St. stations this weekend only, Friday through Sunday.
