A Los Angeles resident was charged last week for his association with a felony committed in Long Beach.
On April 7, a felony charge was filed against 41-year-old Los Angeles resident Urbin Lee Miller for his involvement in a robbery in Long Beach.
On March 2, 2016, a business owner was walking in the area of Pine Avenue and Third Street when Miller approached him and grabbed the victim’s bag, taking his money and fleeing the location on foot. The victim was not injured.
While detectives were investigating the robbery, they searched the area for surveillance cameras.
Detectives viewed a significant amount of video footage, which led them to the suspect, police said.
On March 23, detectives located and arrested the suspect in the 1900 block of Pasadena Avenue. The suspect’s bail was set at $100,000 and on March 24, the suspect posted bail.
On April 4, the case was presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for review. Miller was charged with one count of robbery.
