“Magic Bob” Weiss gets a hand from Lakewood resident Victor Lamas, 2, with his sleight of hand at the Signal Hill Halloween Carnival Friday night. About 750 people attended the Harry-Potter themed event, organized for kids under 12 as a safe alternative to traditional trick-or-treating. In addition to the magician’s performances, there were carnival games, hot dogs, music and buckets of candy.
