Following the petting zoo, Long Beach Symphony Chamber Players will present Delvyn Case’s “Lighthouse Keeper: The Story of Abbey Burgess.” With five string players and narration, the work tells the story of a brave teenage girl who keeps the lighthouse lamps burning during a fierce “Noreaster” storm. The performance is part of the symphony’s Sounds & Spaces program, a series of free performances open to the public and designed to introduce them to live symphonic sound.
