Angeles/Long Beach community for a 5K run/walk to save
lives and help more than 17,000 men in California who
will be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year, according
to the nonprofit. Funds raised for this year’s event will go
toward national efforts to provide research for new treatments,
patient support resources and to educate men and

including Morse code, satellite and various digital communications.
The McBride High School Amateur Radio Club
will be participating with ARALB members, and the Columbia
Astronomers of Downey will also be on-hand with
telescopes for nighttime viewing and will be showcasing
solar scopes for viewing the sun. The event is free and all

kick-off, there will be an “open gym” at the Boys & Girls
