A Long Beach man was killed Aug. 30 in the 1600 block of Hile Avenue, according to police.
Around 4:45am Tuesday, officers were dispatched to the area regarding a shooting that had just occurred.
Upon arrival, Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers found a male adult unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Long Beach Fire Department personnel responded and determined the subject deceased at the scene.
The victim has been identified as Lamar Montez Murry, a 49-year-old resident of Long Beach.
The incident does not appear to be gang-related, police said.
