The Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) is investigating the death of a man who was shot on Labor Day.
On Sept. 5, at approximately 10:05am, officers were dispatched to assist the Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) on a call in the 300 block of Hanjin Road regarding a subject down in the street.
Upon arrival, officers found an unresponsive male adult with a gunshot wound. LBFD personnel arrived and determined the subject to be deceased at the scene.
No suspect information is available at press time. The Los Angeles County Coroner will determine positive identification and notify next of kin.
A motive for the shooting is unknown, and the investigation remains ongoing.
