The Long Beach Police Department’s (LBPD) traffic section conducted a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 7pm to 3am at Pacific Coast Highway and Daisy Avenue.
During the operation, 350 vehicles were screened, two field sobriety tests were performed, two DUI-alcohol suspects were arrested, 10 drivers were cited or arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with suspended/revoked license and six citations were issued for unsafe driving.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
