Three men were injured early Tuesday morning in Signal Hill— two by gunshot and one by vehicular impact— according to the Signal Hill Police Department (SHPD).
On Oct. 11, around 1:45am, the SHPD received a call of “shots fired” in the area of 2800 Walnut Ave. When officers arrived on scene, they located two subjects who suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds. A third individual had been struck by a vehicle fleeing the scene of the shooting.
One shooting victim and the subject who was “run over” were both transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Both are expected to recover from their injuries, SHPD Lt. Ron Sagmit said. The second gunshot victim refused medical treatment.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s crime laboratory is working with SHPD detectives in processing the crime scene.
At press time, detectives were pursuing several leads to help identify involved parties. Those with information on the incident are asked to call the SHPD Detective Bureau at (562) 989-7214.
