Signal Hill Council candidate Keir Jones, a small-business owner, has received the endorsement of 70th District Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell, Signal Hill councilmembers Larry Forester and Michael Noll, and the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, according to an email from the candidate.
Jason Aula, a candidate for Signal Hill City Council, issued a press release in December announcing his intentions to “drain the swamp in Signal Hill City Hall.” Aula wrote that he will “defend traditional American values and the Constitution with a no-prisoners approach, well dismissing liberal political correctness compliance tactics rooted in censorship of the right following the uber successful strategical campaign blueprint of President-elect Donald J. Trump.”
Aula said he also supports the alt-right movement and dismisses the “false claims” of anti-Semitism “because the leader of the alt-right is a gay Jewish man that only dates African men. Moreover, Aula suggests the second in command of the alt-right movement is Milo Yiannopoulos, the chief of ‘The Dangerous Faggot Tour’ across America, and Aula can say this personally— there is not a racist bone in Mr. Yiannopoulos’s body. In America we saw it with Hillary Clinton supporters fixing elections to stop ‘The Bern’ and establishment right-wingers doing it to ‘The Donald’ and America wants to drain the swamp in the name of change in government on all levels, as evident in voter sentiment this election cycle.”
